D7000 Af Auto Fine Tunes
Apr 28, 2016 With the release of the D5 and D500, Nikon have introduced an “automatic AF Fine Tune” feature into their range of dSLR cameras. We’ve spent a couple of days with our D500 in the Reikan lab running tests to get an idea of how Nikon’s new feature performs. Jun 14, 2019 Troubleshooting Nikon D7000 focus issues. Over the course of the next few weeks and months, some of the focus issues returned. I noticed that when I switched lenses between the two D7000 bodies. When the Camera Service Company fine-tuned and aligned the lenses and bodies, they did that for specific body/lens combinations.

D7000 Af Auto Fine Tuner
- Doing the calibration makes a huge difference, as an owner of the D800 since it came out and recently picked up a D810 before return when I heard of the recall issue. I say for the first year of owning the D800, I had 40% back or front focusing issues, at first I thought it was my Sigma 24-70 which I had no issues on on my D7000. And when I had the budget I got the Nikon 24-70, and my focusing improved, but what I realized I still had focusing issues. I did my best with doing it manually using downloaded focus scales and I managed to improve the focus. Doing that test showed me much my camera was out of the tune. Yes it does make sense since your lens havent changed, but that doesnt mean the things havent changed in the camera. From I understand, the camera sent out with a +/- tolerances which is acceptable by Nikon. Earlier this year I download the Focal software, which for me help dial in my focus more. From my experience I would recommend it, you will see a difference, though you may think your lenses & camera perfect though they're are off sometimes.D800, D7000, Nikon 24-70mm 2.8f, Nikon 70-200mm2.8f, Nikon 16mm2.8f, Nikon 80-200mm 2.8f, Nikon 10.5mm 2.8f, Nikkor 55mm Micro 3.5f, Sigma 24-70mm 2.8f, Sigma 18-250mm 3.5-5.6f, Sigma 14mm 2.8f, Tokina 14-24mm 4f, Nikon SB600 & SB700
- I should add on the average my lens were -15. And with the Zooms you need to fine tune to long end.D800, D7000, Nikon 24-70mm 2.8f, Nikon 70-200mm2.8f, Nikon 16mm2.8f, Nikon 80-200mm 2.8f, Nikon 10.5mm 2.8f, Nikkor 55mm Micro 3.5f, Sigma 24-70mm 2.8f, Sigma 18-250mm 3.5-5.6f, Sigma 14mm 2.8f, Tokina 14-24mm 4f, Nikon SB600 & SB700
